Background 

Dr. Ai has been working for KPMG since 1998, in Slovakia and Vietnam of which he has been involved in providing market entry and deal advisory services to many international companies seeking investment opportunities in Vietnam.

Dr. Ai’s expertise lies in strategy formulation, market feasibility study, strategic business location analysis, acquisition target identification and analysis, and commercial due diligence.

Dr. Ai has managed a portfolio of clients in various industries. Some of his recent projects include:

  • Led a team to conduct business strategy development for one of the leading underground construction companies in Vietnam
  • Led a team to conduct business strategy development for one of the leading private telecommunication firms in Vietnam
  • Led a team to conduct business restructuring strategy for one of the major rubber corporations in Vietnam
  • Assisted a large investor from Hong Kong in assessing the Vietnam Dairy Market for their investment decision
  • Assisted one of the largest Korean beauty retail chains in designing market entry retail strategy to support its future expansion in Vietnamese market
  • Led a team to assist a high-tech park in conducting an evaluation research of its business model, and compared with similar business in Asia including ASEAN
  • Managed a team to assist one of the global biggest chocolate manufacturers in conducting a review on Vietnam cocoa sector
  • Led a team to assist a Singaporean company operating in Vietnam in conducting a market study on Vietnam sugar processing industry
  • Assigned by the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam to lead a team to conduct a diagnostic review on Vinafood 2, the dominating enterprise of rice processing and trading in Vietnam

Khi làn sóng FDI chất lượng cao và hàng loạt khu công nghiệp mới được triển khai, bất động sản công nghiệp Việt Nam bước vào giai đoạn tăng trưởng mạnh, đòi hỏi tầm nhìn chiến lược để khai thác cơ hội, quản trị rủi ro và nâng cấp mô hình phát triển. Phiên thảo luận tập trung phân tích động lực mới, những thách thức thực tiễn và hướng đi chiến lược cho thị trường.
